On 13th September 2024, we were privileged to host a distinguished delegation led by Shri Sunil Barthwal - IAS, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. He was accompanied by Shri Santosh Sarangi - IAS, Director General of Foreign Trade, and Shri Rajesh Agrawal - IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, along with other esteemed dignitaries.
During their visit, members of our Committee, along with the CEO of Mega CFC, provided an in-depth tour of Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC. The delegation was introduced to our state-of-the-art machinery and advanced facilities, highlighting the critical infrastructure designed to support and enhance the Indian gem and jewellery sector.
Discussions focused on how this initiative is strategically aligned to drive export growth, boost manufacturing capabilities, and position India as a global leader in the gem and jewellery industry. The visit underscored the government's commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement in this vital sector.
